The male will kick sand from or kick sand back again on the highest from the mound to maintain the mound at a steady temperature.  This pile, based on the warmth on the day, can consist of 5-eight lots of sand/vegetation.  Upon hatching the chicks dig their approach to the floor on the mound, transfer into the comb and will run quickly and fly
